Heavy Highway Construction Estimator

Position Summary
This is a full-time position for a Heavy Highway Construction Estimator located in Stow, Ohio. The Heavy Highway Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates after analyzing drawings and specifications and providing competitive bids for paving projects. The Heavy Highway Estimator will also be responsible for coordinating timely and competitive bid submissions with team members. Post award, the Heavy Highway Estimator will work with Project Management concerning Project hand offs and participation in real-time project management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
– Review proposals, plans & specifications, attend pre-bid meetings, and perform project site visits to determine scope of work and estimate requirements.
– Prepare quantity take offs, solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, and prepare rough project schedules.
– Submit bid documents and pricing forms in Heavy Bid software.
– Track and manage client document changes and work orders to ensure the project remains within budget.
– Recommend ways to make the job more cost effective.
– Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
– Collaborate with Senior Management assessing the profile risks of each project.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
– Prior experience in managing/estimating/engineering role on public and private construction projects is preferred.
– Leadership, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
– Ability to estimate multiple projects with proven time management skills.
– Strong work ethic to complete tasks accurately and on time.
– Strong attention to detail with the ability to solve problems.
– Experience in reading and analyzing Department of Transportation drawings.

Education and Experience
– 3 years related experience.
– Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software preferred.

Position Summary
This is a full-time, exempt position for an Asphalt Superintendent to oversee and coordinate the successful completion of all phases of construction projects, located in the area of Stow, Ohio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
– Supervise, organize, and lead crew
– Ability to perform asphalt work in accordance with applicable ODOT and county specifications
– Complete jobs on time and within budget
– Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols
– Attend Project meetings
– Prepare and monitor project correspondence
– Compile, prepare and track RFI’s and Change Order requests

Job Requirements
– Working knowledge of ODOT and county plans and specifications

The Equipment Manager will oversee the acquisition, maintenance, and use of a wide range of equipment, from vehicles to industrial machinery, to ensure the functionality, safety and efficiency of the equipment.
